Craniosacral Therapy for the Cardiovascular System

Native Yoga Center is please to announce that Michael Shea will be offering a continuing education course for Licensed Massage Therapists this coming weekend on July 22 &23, 2107. Michael typically travels the world teaching Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy and we feel honored to host him in his hometown of Juno Beach, Florida.

This course bridges skills from Craniosacral Therapy to the vascular system. In particular, the various “tides” of the craniosacral system will be referenced through their activity in the cardiovascular system.  Of particular interest will be the long tide as it is called in Biodynamic Osteopathy. Based on new scientific information, Craniosacral Therapy palpation will be used to increase the function of the major arteries of the body.  The tone of the arteries is controlled by the autonomic nervous system which regulates the tension in the artery. Students will learn what a balanced artery feels like to lower stress in the client.
